ContestHub Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using ContestHub ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

ContestHub is a Shopify application that allows merchants to create and manage giveaway campaigns, collect email entries, and select winners. The App provides a storefront widget that collects participant information on behalf of the merchant.

3. Merchant Responsibilities

As a merchant using ContestHub, you are solely responsible for:

• Ensuring your contests comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.
• Obtaining all necessary permits or registrations for your giveaways.
• Creating clear, accurate contest rules that comply with local sweepstakes laws.
• Fulfilling all prizes promised to winners.
• Maintaining appropriate privacy policies for your store visitors.
• Obtaining consent from entrants for marketing communications per GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable laws.

4. Data Processing

ContestHub collects and processes the following data on behalf of merchants:

• Entrant email addresses and names for campaign entry purposes.
• Entry actions completed by participants.
• Referral relationships between participants.

Merchants are the data controllers for participant data collected through their contests. ContestHub acts as a data processor. Participant data is stored securely and is not shared with third parties except as required to operate the service.

5. Billing

ContestHub is billed at a flat rate of $49 USD per month via Shopify's billing system. The subscription begins with a free trial period. You may cancel at any time through your Shopify admin.

6. Prohibited Uses

You may not use ContestHub to:

• Conduct illegal lotteries or gambling activities.
• Collect data in violation of applicable privacy laws.
• Deceive or mislead contest participants.
• Send unsolicited commercial email (spam) to entrants.
• Violate any Shopify Partner Program policies.

7. Limitation of Liability

ContestHub is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to losses from contest operations, prize fulfillment issues, or regulatory non-compliance.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to ContestHub if you violate these Terms of Service. You may cancel your subscription at any time through Shopify's admin panel.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
